Dr Edward Ho was born in Malaysia but had his undergraduate studies in Singapore and graduate studies in the United Kingdom. Professor Ho was awarded with his first degree, B.Eng. (Hons) by Nanyang Technological University and Ph.D. degree (Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering) by University College London. Professor Ho represented the Asia Pacific region to participate at the University of Cambridge’s Particle Physics and Astronomy Summer School in 2000.
Professor Ho’s academic and research background is rather inter-disciplinary and covering from engineerings to computer science, physics to applied mathematics and statistics, with his current research focus on medical image analysis, processing and reconstruction, as well as machine vision and learning aspects of artificial intelligence.
